How to play

  1. Dig. Drag across the sand to cut a channel out from a well. Drag back along it to fill it in again; right-click also fills.
  2. Zoom. Pinch the map to get closer to it, and drag it around with two fingers. One finger always digs.
  3. Spend. Each puzzle gives you a fixed number of spades. A channel tile costs one, a culvert under a road costs two.
  4. Reach. The number on a well is how far its water runs along connected channels. Run out of pressure and the rest of the ditch stays dry.
  5. Harvest. A field scores in full the moment any one of its tiles touches flowing water. The cheap crop pays 1 a tile, the valuable one 3.
  6. Mind the houses. Water running past one soaks its walls: −3 each. Rock, trees and livestock cannot be dug through. Old stone-lined channels are already there, and free.

Three new puzzles every day, one bigger one every week. Every puzzle's best possible score is proven by an exhaustive solver before it ships, so the number you are measured against is a fact, not an estimate.
